Privacy Policy — Paperstrike

Last updated: 12 September 2026

Paperstrike is a practice trading app. It lets you place practice trades with practice money. No real money is ever involved, no order is ever sent to any exchange or broker, and nothing in the app can be bought, sold or withdrawn.

The short version. Paperstrike has no accounts, no login and no server of its own. Your practice trades, your notes and your settings are stored only on your device and are never sent to us — we could not read them even if we wanted to. The one thing that does collect data about you is the advertising built into the free version, and that is described in full below.

1. Who this policy is from

This policy covers the Android app Paperstrike (com.paperstrike) distributed on Google Play.

Contact for any privacy question or request: fundeveloper27@gmail.com

2. What is stored on your device

All of the following stays on your phone. It is written to the app's own private storage, which no other app can read. None of it is uploaded anywhere.

WhatWhy
Your practice trades and positionsSo your practice account persists between sessions
Your practice cash balanceSame
Notes you write on a tradeThe trade journal feature
Your watchlistTo show the contracts you chose to follow
Your settings, such as the themeTo remember your preference
Whether you have accepted the in-app disclaimerSo you are not asked every launch

You can erase all of it at any time from Settings → Delete all data. Uninstalling the app also removes it completely.

3. What leaves your device

Market prices

To show prices, the app requests market data from third-party market data providers over the internet. These requests contain no information about you, no identifier and nothing about your practice account — the app asks for a price list and receives one. As with any internet request, the provider can see the IP address the request came from. We do not control those providers and this policy does not cover what they do with their own server logs.

Advertising

The free version of Paperstrike shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. This is the only part of the app that collects data about you, and Google — not Paperstrike — does the collecting.

Through the Google Mobile Ads SDK, Google may collect and use:

Google uses this to select and measure ads and to detect fraud. Their handling of it is governed by their own policies, not ours: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.

You can limit this. On Android, open Settings → Privacy → Ads and use Delete advertising ID or Reset advertising ID. Deleting it stops apps receiving the identifier at all.

Paperstrike does not receive your advertising ID, does not build a profile of you, and never combines ad data with anything stored on your device.

4. What the app does not do

5. Exporting your own data

Portfolio → Download trades writes your practice trades to a CSV file at a location you choose. The file is created by you, on your device, and is never transmitted to us. Once saved, it is an ordinary file and it is yours to manage.

6. Children

Paperstrike is intended for people aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, is not part of Google Play's Families programme, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Your rights and choices

Because we hold no personal data on any server, there is nothing for us to look up, correct or delete on your behalf. Everything the app holds is in your hands already.

8. Changes to this policy

If the app starts collecting anything it does not collect today — for example if analytics or a subscription are added — this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.

9. Important, and not a privacy matter

Paperstrike is for practice and education only. It is not investment advice. We are not registered with SEBI as a research analyst or an investment adviser, we are not a broker, and no order placed in the app reaches any exchange. Prices shown in the app are delayed.
