Privacy Policy for Dawnly
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Dawnly is a mission-based alarm clock. This Privacy Policy explains what
information is stored or processed when you use the app.
Information stored on your device
Your alarms, wake-up missions, streaks, streak freezes, statistics, and
settings are stored locally on your device. Dawnly does not require an
account and does not operate a server that receives this information.
Android backup is disabled for Dawnly, so this local app data is not
intentionally included in cloud backups.
Third-party services
Dawnly uses the following third-party services:
-
Google AdMob: When advertising is enabled for an eligible
non-premium user, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process an IP address
(which may estimate approximate location), app interactions, diagnostic
information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics,
and fraud prevention. Dawnly uses Google's User Messaging Platform to
request and respect consent where required.
See the Google Privacy Policy.
-
Google Play Billing and RevenueCat: If you purchase
Dawnly Premium, Google Play processes the payment and RevenueCat validates
the purchase. RevenueCat may process a randomly generated app-user ID,
device and operating-system information, purchase token, product, and
subscription status. Dawnly does not receive your card or bank details.
See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Dawnly does not ask for your name or email address and does not access your
contacts or precise location. Alarm labels, alarm times, mission results,
and QR-camera images are not intentionally uploaded by Dawnly.
Permissions
-
Notifications, exact alarms, and full-screen display:
Used to ring scheduled alarms reliably, including over the lock screen.
-
Run at startup and ignore battery optimizations:
Used so alarms can survive a device restart and aggressive power saving.
-
Camera: Used only when you select the optional QR-scan
mission. Camera images are processed on your device and are not stored or
uploaded by Dawnly.
Children
Dawnly is intended for people aged 13 and older. It is not directed to
children under 13.
Your choices
- You may decline the optional camera permission and use another mission.
- You may manage eligible advertising privacy choices from Dawnly settings.
- You may manage or cancel a subscription through Google Play.
Data deletion
Dawnly does not create an app account. Uninstalling Dawnly removes its local
alarms, settings, and history from that device. Google and RevenueCat may
retain information they process according to their own policies and legal
obligations.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Dawnly or its legal obligations change. The
date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
